Imagine your classroom experiencing a place where the history of Texas and the Old West are still alive. A place where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play. Where cowboys, horses and longhorns walk the street of an authentic old west town.
Your classroom visit is a hands-on look into the history of the Old West. Enchanted Springs Ranch is the newest experience in field trips studying our Texas heritage, and a place your kids will talk about the rest of the school year. Your field trip will include:
- Greeting by townspeople dressed in 1800's clothing.
- Meeting a real Texas longhorn and learning about the history of the longhorns, the cowboys, and cowgirls.
- Visiting our Texas Heritage Exhibit and hearing stories of the old west.
- Admiring some real American Buffalo.
- Enjoying a tractor wagon ride through our 86 acres of lush pastures and wooded hills.
- Viewing numerous longhorns, zebras, emus, llamas, exotic deer and antelope.
- Eating your lunch in our covered picnic area inside our old west town.
- Visiting our trading post, hardward store, church and much more.
- Enjoying a stroll through an authentic old west town.
Come bring your students and your cameras; experience the Old West like you never have before. Field trips are 2 ½ hours and cost $6 per guest. There is a 50 person minimum. For smaller groups and individuals, see Visit the Ranch.
