Texas Heritage Institute at Enchanted Springs Ranch
Your students will not only learn about the Old West and Texas History, they’ll see it and touch it. This is truly a unique experience that emphasizes the thrills and hardship of early Texas life. It’s one thing to sing home on the range, it’s another to see buffalo roam and deer and antelope play. Add a photo opportunity with one of our horses or Woodrow, our longhorn steer, a ride through our Wild Animal Park, and fun in our kids’ miniature town and playground. You’ll see why most schools come back year after year.

Field Trips last approximately 2 ½ hours.

Your field trip will include:

★ Greeting by Enchanted Springs Ranch Staff.
★ Enjoying a stroll through an authentic old west town.
★ Seeing and touching an exciting piece of the Old West.
★ Listening to stories of the Old West.
★ Learning about the history of the longhorns, the cowboys, and cowgirls.
★ Visiting an authentic cow-town, Mexican Village, Indian tee pees and old ranch house.
★ Enjoying a tractor pulled wagon ride through our Wild Animal Park
★ Viewing numerous longhorns, buffalos, zebras, llamas, exotic deer, and antelope.
★ Eating your lunch in our covered picnic area inside our old west town.
★ Visiting our trading post, hardware store, church and much more.

Come bring your students and your cameras; experience the Old West like you never have before.

ESR is proud to work with the Former Texas Ranger Foundation and the Texas Ranger Heritage Center in Fredricksburg, Texas.

Our joint mission is to promote character development of Texas youth for which lesson plans have been approved by the Governor and the Texas Education Administration. The field trips at ESR will incorporate some of the same character development and Texas History.
