Enchanted Springs Ranch is becoming the preferred western movie set in Texas. The ranch has varied landscape from creeks and bluffs to large vistas overlooking grassy fields with lots of trees and large hills. The Old West town is frequently critiqued as one of the most authentic and complete western towns available. It is also important to note that the local area is very film-friendly with lots of hotel options plus hundreds of re-enactors with vintage costumes and weapons. There are also numerous horse drawn period wagons available to include stagecoaches. No wonder so many recent films are selecting Enchanted Springs Ranch as their preferred movie set location.
QUOTES FROM FILM PROFESSIONALS ABOUT THE RANCH:
“We searched all throughout Texas for the perfect location to shoot a major section of our Western, “The Legend of Hell's Gate“. As soon as we set foot on the Enchanted Springs Ranch we knew we had found our Granbury of 1876. The owners Steve and Vicki Schmidt along with their staff were able to provide everything we needed for a cast and crew of over 125 people. The facilities and the buildings are in excellent condition and were large enought to create several distinct sets. “The Legend of Hell's“ Gate“ couldn't have been made without the support and services provided by the Enchanted Springs Ranch.“

Producer
"Searching for the perfect "old west" filming location for a new NBC series, we were lucky enough to find our way to Enchanted Springs. Steve and his team could not have been more accommodating - and the ranch could not have been more beautiful. Everything about the experience was a pleasure, and there really aren't words to thank Steve for his passion, commitment, and dedication to making our shoot a success. We, quite literally, could not have made our show without Enchanted Springs Ranch. We owe you one.“
Tom Forman, CEO RelativityREAL
Executive Producer "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins"
“We had to leave for an out-of-town shoot, right after our Spurs shoot at your Enchanted Springs Ranch. This is our first opportunity to have a moment to even type an email, since our return. We don't know where to begin to thank you for everything that you did to make the Spurs NBA Code of Conduct video project a reality! You are wonderful people!
We just finished editing the video, which turned out great, thanks to your generosity, efforts and kindness. We will make DVD's for you, as soon as we are allowed to release the video, which as we understand it, is after it first shows at the AT&T Center at the first game, which I believe is October 28.
We are so impressed with your property, your generosity and absolute graciousness of you both and your team. We hope that we can return the favor and be of help to you one day. In the meantime, we are highly recommending Enchanted Springs Ranch for family outings, conventions, tours, events, as well as TV and movie shoots, etc. If any of your prospective clients want to find out what they can expect from Enchanted Springs Ranch, we will be pleased to share with them, our positive experience.
We will follow through with the Spurs to see what they can do for you, to express their gratitude.
Apple Productoins hopes to have the privilege of working with you again!
Thank you again for the opportunity!”

"As a potential film and television location, the movie set (old west town) at Enchanted Springs Ranch has three essentials going for it. The landscape is varied and romantic. The owner/operators are enthusiastic and committed. And, most importantly in today's economic times, the facility is very close to a major airport and big city services and manpower. Add these essential elements to the old west town's rustic buildings, the collection of genuine antique wagons and the thousands of authentic props and pieces of frontier period set dressing and you've got just about anything a period film production could require...and all this not more than half an hour from one of the nation's major airports."
Frank Q. Dobbs
Producer of A PLACE CALLED HOME, THE LAST COWBOY, JOHNSON COUNTY WAR, TEXAS RANGERS, and the Emmy Award-Winning documentary, THE LEGEND OF BILLY THE KID
"Enchanted Springs Ranch is a wonderful new addition to the many existing western movie sets available in Texas for motion picture and television production. Situated only 25 miles northwest of San Antonio, Enchanted Springs Ranch has constructed a fairly elaborate Western town that will meet the needs of most producers seeking an easy-to-get-to location that hasn't been seen before over and over again. Comprising 86 acres, Enchanted Springs Ranch features a beautiful stream and spectacular, unspoiled Texas Hill Country vistas. Plenty of horses and a number of vintage wagons are available on site and new features are being added all the time."

"Producers I take to the movie set at Enchanted Springs Ranch are truly impressed - and not just with the authenticity of the old west town itself, but with the full service offered by owners Steve and Vicki Schmidt. The ranch is already a valuable asset to the film industry here in San Antonio, and with more and more productions adding to the sets every month, we're well on our way to having the most complete western set in the state."

San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau
"I
wanted to say thank you after a truly enjoyable day of work at the Enchanted Springs Ranch. From the moment we contacted the ranch up until the minute we wrapped our shoot, the entire experience could not have been more pleasant....Next time OLN is in the San Antonio area, we will certainly put Enchanted Springs Ranch at the top of our list when we're looking for a location."
